The HayTime timer has been developed to meet our specific needs. It has been important to us that our horses, who live in our own barn, get hay as often as possible. However, our indigenous horses cannot be on free hay, but need small amounts of hay at a time. However, in our busy life with small kids, the constant hauling of hay proved to be a challenge. We wanted a reliable, sustainable and easy-to-use way to time our horses’ hay. However, we found that such a solution was not available on the market at a reasonable price. Marko, who works as a mechanical engineer in his main job, decided to take up the challenge and start developing a timer to suit our needs. Marko, who does 3D design both at work and in his spare time, decided to use 3D printing to design and implement the timer. After designing and testing various prototypes, the HayTime timer was born. 

We have two HayTime timers in constant use in our paddock. We use timers so that we always take the hay to the horses ourselves in the morning and in the evening, and we always time the two day/night hay rations at the same time. So our horses get hay six times a day (i.e. every 4h) with only two hay deliveries.  This has made our daily lives and the welfare of our horses much easier. We saw that there was a demand for such a product and decided to launch the timer. We want to make it possible for as many people as possible to buy a timer, which is why we try to keep the price of the HayTime timer affordable. We also know that things happen with horses, so all spare parts and replacement instructions are also available separately. We manufacture all our timers in-house and offer a 12-month warranty.
